Dakota Smith: Dakota Smith recently graduated with a Master’s degree from the Department of Atmospheric Science at Colorado State University. His research focus­ed on using remotely sensed data to improve the modeling of land-atmosphere interactions in seasonal grasslands. He now studies climate risk and adaptation at the National Center for Atmospheric Research.

Becky DePodwin: Becky is a meteorologist and product manager, and soon-to-be emergency manager. Working in the field of meteorology, and being extremely fascinated with social science and weather communication, she hopes to take her EM degree and apply it to weather disasters, and how the public perceives, responds, and recovers from them.
